Small Paintings #s 5-9, 9 x 12 each, oil on canvas Small Paintings #s 5-9 were another set of explorations done concurrently with other work. As in the past, some of these evolved deliberately while others did so in response to various misteps and accidents. This freedom to work more spontaneously was one of the things that kept these interesting to me.
