Now and Forever - 36 x 48 - oil on canvas

Now and Forever was the second Pile Painting, and was even tighter and crisper than the first. The objects here are kind of fun and reflect quite well the sort of trancelike gleaning of ordinary items from around the house, gathered in piles in the middle of rooms, brought to the studio and dumped randomly before I chose a section to focus on. A homemade viewfinder helped me get the drawing correct, as I did in the geometric shapes series. This painting and I Chose Goucher were ultimately purchased by Phoenix Home Life Mutual Insurance Company.
